The Fifth International Conference on Smart City Applications is a multidisciplinary forum co-organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Engineering Department Karabuk University (KBÜ) in partnership with Mediterranean Association of Sciences and Technologies (Medi-AST) . SCA will take place in Safranbolu, Turkey from 07-09 October 2020, and aims to bring together research scientists and engineers to discuss and exchange both experimental and theoretical results, novel designs, case studies, and trend-setting ideas in the area of smart cities. The conference covers any topic with an intersection with smart cities, including geo-smart information systems, education, healthcare, economy and digital business, building and home automation, environment and agriculture, and information technologies and computer science. The Conference encourages submission of original works presenting novel research results and new products or concepts are encouraged for submission. but also work in progress.
All accepted papers will be published as a chapters in the Springer Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems LNNS Book Series and will be indexed in Scopus. Update for Corona Virus (12.03.2020) In case the serious situation continue until the date, our event can be converted partly or fully to the Video Conference. The organisers of SCA2020 are alert and closely following the developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are in contact with specialised institutions and partners, including the Ministry of Health in Turkiye and are monitoring the travel recommendations. For now the preparations for the SCA2020 continue "as normal". Jointly we are preparing for a scenario (eg. fully or optional virtual presentation) in case the situation proves more serious than was previously expected. We will inform you if anything changes. There is still seven months to go and we can hope that the situation changes to the better. The latest information and Q&A from the Ministry of Health on the Corona virus can be found here.
