Call For Papers 4th International Conference on Design and Supply Chain Alignment
(DSCA 2013) 28th and 29th November 2013 Hull University Business School (UK) We are pleased to announce and invite you to participate in the 4th International Conference on Design and Supply Chain Alignment (DSCA 2013), which will be held at Hull University Business School, in Hull (UK) on 28th and 29th November 2013 The conference’s aim is to create a space for mutual exchange between academia and industry. Therefore, practitioners are invited to share their best practices and to explain problems encountered by their companies. Conference Topics The theme of DSCA 2013 is “Design for Resilience” The topics may include, but are not limited to: • Product design and supply chain risk management • Strategies for alignment of innovation activities and SCM • IT systems for NPD-SCM integration • Tools for NPD-SCM alignment and integration • Metrics for the evaluation of SCM and product design integration • Supply chain partners involvement in NPD • Global product development • Network design for new products • Product variety and SCM • Modularity and platform strategies for SCM • Concurrent engineering principles for the Supply Chain • Integration of design and SCM Key Dates • Abstract submission deadline - 30 August 2013 • Notification of acceptance to authors – 16 September 2013 • Early bird registration – 27 September 2013 • Final paper submission – 30 October 2013 Publication of proceedings Proceedings will be published in an edited book. The authors of the best papers submitted to the conference will be invited to submit extended versions of their works for publication in a special issue of the International Journal of Engineering, Science and Technology (www.ijest-ng.com).
