Chapter proposals are invited for a forthcoming book titled "Multicore Technology:Architecture, Reconfiguration, and Modeling" to be published by CRC Press. The deadline for submitting a short proposal (1-2 pages) is 15th July 2011. If interested please send an email to confirm your interest in participating followed by a short proposal including list of related publications. Please refer to the following details about the proposal preparation and suggested deadlines.
Context: The saturation of design complexity and clock frequencies for single core processors has resulted in the emergence of multicore architectures as an alternative design paradigm. Nowadays multicore/multithreaded computing systems are not only a de facto standard for high-end applications but are gaining popularity in the field of embedded computing. The start of the multicore era has altered the concepts relating to almost all of the areas of computer architecture design including core design, memory management, thread scheduling, application support, inter-processor communication, debugging, power management and many more. The proposed book is targeted not only to give the reader a holistic overview of the field but also to guide them to further avenues of research by covering the state-of-the-art in this area. Target Audience: Researchers at all levels, postgraduate students, academics, scientists and technologists. Areas to be covered: 1. Hardware Architectures for Multicore Processors 2. Programming models for Homogeneous/Heterogeneous Platforms 3. Thread scheduling 4. Memory Management 5. Hardware Transactional memories, Cache management/Coherence 6. Network on Chip 7. Multicore Reconfiguration and Optimization 8. Debug Support for Multicore Architectures 9. Performance evaluation and Hardware exploration Proposal Preparation Guidelines: If you are willing to participate in this book, we would appreciate a 1-2 page outline (in PDF, Word, Open Document or plain text formats) of your proposed contribution covering the following points: 1. Proposed chapter title, author(s) and affiliation(s) 2. An abstract of 200-300 words summarising the content 3. Suggested major section headings 4. List of relevant publications by the contributing authors Important Deadlines Proposal Submission: 25th August 2011 Proposal Review Results: 1st September 2011 Manuscript Submission: 30th December 2011 First Round of Review: 30th January 2012 Final Manuscript Due: 30th March 2012 For Further detaills please visit: https://sites.google.com/site/multicorebook/ |
