The focus will be on the challenges of complexity, rapid pace of change and risk/opportunity issues associated with modern products, systems, special events and infrastructures. The conference will provide an opportunity for systems scientists, assurance researchers, owners, operators and maintainers of large, complex and advanced systems and infrastructures to update their knowledge with the state of best practice in these challenging domains whilst networking with the leading researchers and solution providers. This conference aims to attract an International audience to provide a forum for the dissemination of research accomplishments and promote interaction and collaboration between the researchers and practitioners in the security field; to meet and discuss current and future e-security needs and issues. As we are approaching the 30th Olympiad to be held in London in 2012, the conference's organizing committee is keen to explore issues of safety and security, as well sustainability following such a major event drawn from the experiences of recent Olympic Games and other big sporting, cultural and humanitarian operations.
