OSGi Community Event 2010
Co-located with JAX London Call for Presentations The OSGi Alliance is pleased to announce the OSGi Community Event that will take place September 29-30, 2010 in London, UK. The OSGi Community Event will be held in conjunction with JAX London 2010 Autumn Edition and we are pleased to announce that the first day of the conference, OSGi DevCon, will take place in alignment with JAX London 2010 Autumn Edition. This year the event will focus on ‘The Value of OSGi – Here and Now’ and will explore how organizations are implementing and benefiting from using OSGi standards based architectures in their Information Technology (IT) infrastructures, products, and services, and will share lessons learned. The event is expected to attract enterprise and embedded software architects; IT decisions makers and software leaders as well as developers who are using OSGi as the basis for their next generation IT infrastructure. The Call for Presentations is now open to solicit presentation proposals. Everyone is encouraged to submit proposals to the Program Committee. Our Program Committee is highly interested in real-life case studies. Topic ideas may include: - Case studies from enterprise IT organizations on how OSGi has been implemented within their organization. - Case studies (enterprise or embedded) about the benefits of using and/or migrating to OSGi. - Best practice guidelines for deploying OSGi. - Architectural guidelines for using OSGi. - Migrating/refactoring existing systems with OSGi. - Technology oriented presentations related to the use of OSGi. - Other topics of interest to the intended audience, including panel session topics. The OSGi Community Event will have long and short talks, as well as tutorials, panels and BOFs. All proposals should include the following: - Presentation title - Your requested preference for a type of presentation (long talk (50 mins), short talk (20 mins), tutorial, panel, or BOF) - Presenter name - Presenter employer - Presentation Abstract (max 250 words) - Presenter Bio (max 100 words) Please submit proposals online at http://tinyurl.com/osgi-ce-2010.
