Aims and Scope: This special issue of Tourism Cases is designed to share, understand and celebrate the diverse lived experiences of Indigenous tourism across the globe. Importantly, the Special Issue acknowledges the importance of Indigenous voices and so we seek co-developed cases that are either authored or co-authored by First Nations business operators, researchers and/or practitioners.
Topics considered: Innovation and entrepreneurship in Indigenous tourism Employment, engagement and leveraging tourism to deliver benefits for community/ies Government policy, governance and enablers of Indigenous tourism Leveraging tourism to create new socio-economic opportunities, or diversifying economies through tourism Public and private partnerships and collaboration Indigenous tourism and the SDGs Indigenous tourism and cultural immersion The power of storytelling Indigenous tourism and reconciliation Community based tourism and Indigenous peoples Reciprocity, protocols and ethical partnerships Celebrating the resilience of Indigenous cultures |
