KARISMA OJK Paper Award 2026
The OJK Institute is pleased to invite academics, researchers, students, practitioners, and the general public to submit their original research papers to the KARISMA OJK Paper Award 2026, an annual scientific writing competition aimed at advancing research and innovation in the financial services sector. Theme “Empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Digital Ecosystem to Accelerate Economies of Scale” This theme emphasizes the strategic role of digital ecosystems in enhancing the capacity, scalability, and competitiveness of MSMEs, while supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Topics of Interest Submissions may address, but are not limited to, the following topics: 1. Financial Market Deepening through Digital Ecosystems for MSME Empowerment 2. Financial Inclusion and Digital Empowerment of MSMEs 3. Digital Ecosystems, MSMEs, and Financial System Stability 4. Islamic Finance and Digital Ecosystems in Empowering MSMEs Scope of Papers The competition welcomes interdisciplinary research within the financial services sector, including but not limited to: - Banking - Capital Markets - Insurance - Pension Funds - Financing Institutions - Derivatives and Carbon Markets - Financial Technology (FinTech) and Digital Financial Assets - Other relevant areas related to financial system development Eligibility - Open to individuals or teams (if applicable) - Participants may include academics, researchers, students, practitioners, and the general public - Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere Key Dates - Submission Deadline: June 30, 2026 - Evaluation Period: July – September 2026 - Final Presentation & Award Announcement: October 2026 Awards and Benefits - Total prizes up to IDR 160,000,000 - Opportunity for publication in the International Journal of Financial System (IJFS) - Mentoring sessions for selected participants - Networking opportunities with experts, policymakers, and industry practitioners Submission Guidelines - Papers must be written in English - Follow academic writing standards and proper citation formats - Detailed formatting and technical guidelines are provided in the official terms and conditions - Registration and Submission Participation is free of charge.
