First Workshop on AI-Assisted Research for Northeast India's Languages, Cultures and Ecosystems May 29, 2026 | Virtual | Free Submission Deadline: May 15, 2026, 11:59 PM IST Notifications: May 23, 2026 Workshop: May 29, 2026 NortheastGenAI 2026 is the first workshop dedicated to AI-assisted research on Northeast India. The region is home to over 200 languages across eight states - many endangered, almost entirely absent from NLP and computational linguistics research. Inspired by Agents4Science 2025 at Stanford University, we adapt the model for one of the world's most linguistically diverse and underserved regions.
