WORKSHOP ON HUMAN-CENTERED CYBERSECURITY, DATA PRIVACY, AND AI RISKS
4-6 November, 2026 - Hybrid Mode: Physical and Virtual Iquique, Chile The Workshop on Human-Centered Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and AI Risks is organized as part of INFONOR 2026. Scope and Aims -------------------------------------- The Workshop on Human-Centered Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and AI Risks (HCC-AI) aims to bring together researchers and professionals from academia, government, and industry to discuss emerging challenges at the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and human interaction. The aim of the HCC-AI is to establish an interdisciplinary dialogue on the technical, human, legal, and social dimensions of cybersecurity in the age of AI. By combining expertise from multiple fields, the workshop seeks to advance research and practical solutions for secure, reliable, and privacy-preserving digital ecosystems. Topics of Interest -------------------------------------- Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: * Human factors in cybersecurity and security usability * Human–AI interaction in security operations * AI for cybersecurity (threat detection, automated defense, risk analysis) * AI-enabled cyberattacks and offensive AI techniques * AI-assisted phishing, social engineering, and disinformation campaigns * Deepfakes and synthetic media in cybercrime * Adversarial machine learning and model manipulation * Privacy-preserving AI and secure data sharing * Cryptographic algorithms and secure system design * Risk assessment and cyber resilience frameworks * Security awareness, training, and behavioral cybersecurity * Legal and regulatory aspects of cybersecurity and data protection * Cybersecurity policy and law in Chile and Latin America Important Dates -------------------------------------- Submission deadline: 7-09-2026 Notification to authors: 30-09-2026 Camera-ready versions: 15-10-2026 Paper Submission Guidelines -------------------------------------- Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research/application papers in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Manuscripts must be prepared in PDF format following the conference template (https://infonor2026.unap.cl/cfp) and submitted through the official submission platform: https://conftool.infonor2026.unap.cl At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present their work at the workshop, which will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both physical and virtual participation. Selected high-quality papers will be considered for publication in the journal INGENIARE (indexed in Scopus and SciELO-Chile). The organizing committee is currently exploring opportunities for special issues in indexed journals. Further details will be announced soon.
