Call For Papers

Due to multiple requests, the PPAM 2026 paper submission deadline is extended
to May 11, 2026. For workshops and minisymposia the deadline is extended as well.

In conjunction with 16th international Conference
on Parallel Processing and Applied Mathematics
Poznań, Poland, August 30 – September 2, 2026

Introduction
=============
Modeling and numerical simulation have become essential tools in the physical sciences and materials design. The availability of high-performance computing (HPC) resources has enabled significant advances in simulations of both static and dynamic properties of condensed-matter and soft-matter systems. This Minisymposium is devoted to, but not limited to, HPC applications in the physical sciences and aims to address the following topics:
• scalability of simulation tools in HPC environments;
• the interplay between ab initio and phenomenological modeling;
• non-classical dynamics in low-dimensional magnetic systems;
• novel approaches and simulation methods, including the many-body-theory-based techniques;
• new tools and computational environments for materials science;
• artificial intelligence and machine learning in modeling and simulations

The scientific success of this Minisymposium will arise not only from providing an overview of high-performance computing applications across a wide range of physical systems, but also from identifying the limitations of existing theoretical and computational tools and highlighting challenging areas that require further methodological development.

ABSTRACT and PAPER SUBMISSIONS, ORAL PRESENTATIONS
===================================================
Abstracts (500–800 words) and original research papers that have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere are invited for submission to the Minisymposium. Full papers should be prepared in accordance with the Springer LNCS format and the PPAM 2026 submission guidelines.
Submissions must be made via the PPAM conference submission system (EasyChair) by April 24, 2026. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on their scientific merit and relevance to the Minisymposium topics.

Authors of accepted abstracts or papers will have the opportunity to present their work in a dedicated Minisymposium oral session, with a limit of one presentation per registered participant. Only papers presented at PPAM 2026 will be included in the conference proceedings, which will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.
