2021 Ground System Architectures Workshop Call for Participation
Special Online Series of Events http://gsaw.aero.org THEME: Adapting Critical Operations We are taking this year’s 25th annual Ground System Architectures Workshop completely online! Attendees will see plenary presentations, keynote webinars, and technical demonstrations for free! We will also be hosting various virtual interactive events such as working groups and tutorials. To keep everyone safe and to accommodate the growing number of international participants, we will make most GSAW content available on-demand with the ability to comment, ask questions, and share answers. GSAW will continue to be the forum for the world’s space-related ground system experts to exchange solutions with other users, developers, vendors, and researchers. The unprecedented events of this year have created challenges for all areas of space-related ground systems. Those challenges and your solutions have ensured that critical operations continue successfully. The GSAW 2021 theme, “Adapting Critical Operations,” invites you to share your ideas, emerging technologies and roadmaps for the future with the ground system community. As the pandemic raced around the globe, it was clear that business-as-usual was simply not workable. Services we have all come to take for granted have changed. Technical challenges; workflow changes; shifting timelines; resource and staffing shortages; security issues; and other unexpected changes may have been experienced by ground system stakeholders. We are looking to the ground system community to share their innovative approaches in adapting their critical operations to successfully function through unexpected issues. Areas of interest include but are not limited to experiences, leading-edge practices, lessons learned, and research in a range of ground system topics including: • Data science, engineering, fusion, analytics, and exploitation • Intelligent/cognitive systems, machine learning, and autonomy • Model-based and digital engineering • Cyber security and resilience • Agile, DevSecOps, and rapid system development • Enterprise systems, reference architectures, and infrastructure • Mission assurance and risk management • Space-ground communications • Human factors, workload, and effectiveness • Virtualization, containers, and the cloud • Mobile, lightweight, and geo-independent platforms • Interoperability, compatibility, and standards • Creative business and acquisition models • Service-based operations • Situational awareness • Cost, schedule, governance, and data rights For complete GSAW information and submission details visit: http://gsaw.aero.org Deadlines • Abstracts/proposals due: Oct. 22, 2020 • Notification of acceptance: Nov. 19, 2020 • Accepted presentations due: Feb. 5, 2021 Presenters are responsible for ensuring that all submissions are cleared for presentation. |
