The Call for Papers, Posters and Panels - Zero Emissions Innovation Challenge
Research Areas The competition is designed to promote innovation through a creative process, allowing for individual and/or interdisciplinary teams of participants to: 1. Identify the technical challenge to zero emissions in their design; 2. Discuss how the identified technical challenge relates to a prosperity model and that it is viable; 3. Propose a scientifically-based design approach to address the challenge; 4. Propose an approach to communicate relevant data and information to users and stakeholders. 5. Outcomes of presentations must consider:Does the project a) maintain or improve human health? b) advance economic competitiveness? and c) protect and preserve the environment effectively and efficiently? Applicants must address one or more of the research areas listed below: * Energy * Food / Agriculture * Health * Housing * Transportation * Waste * Water A special note for student* participants - all projects, regardless of research area, must be student-led with faculty involvement, as appropriate and necessary. (* Students from high-schools, community college and universities) Abstract Submission Authors are invited to submit papers; preferably in PDF format. The length should not exceed 10 pages typeset in a 12-point font. All paper submissions will be handled electronically.
