CALL FOR PAPERS
The Sixth International Conference on Emerging Databases - Technologies, Applications, and Theory (EDB2016) (Main theme: Emerging Data Science and Beyond) http://www.emergingdb.org/edb2016 Jeju Island, Jeju, KOREA October 17 ~ 19, 2016 (Recent News : The special issues of METHOD Journal (SCI) and J. Data Mining and Bioinformatics were invited) Goals: The International Conference on Emerging Databases is an annual forum for exploring technologies, novel applications, and research of emerging database fields. Using this forum, researchers and practitioners can exchange current issues, challenges, new technologies, and practical experiences. The sixth International Conference on Emerging Databases - Technologies, Applications, and Theory (EDB2016) will focus on data science, data mining, big data management and analytics, etc. which are taking much attraction from computer science in addition to many other fields. The EDB2016 will be held at Jeju Island, Jeju, Korea. Authors are invited to submit original and research papers addressing technical issues, solutions, and technologies in emerging database and data science areas. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by the members of the international program committee. All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings with an assigned ISBN number and also published in the ACM Digital Library. Related Topics: The topics of interest for EDB2016 include (but are not limited to): - Data science and analytics - Data mining/knowledge discovery - Big data management and social media - Graph database and graph mining - Stream data management - Data warehousing - Information retrieval and text mining - Advanced database applications - NoSQL and MapReduce - Distributed, parallel and grid databases - Image/video retrieval and databases - Spatial data management - Databases for bioinformatics - Query processing and optimization - Transaction processing - High-dimensional and temporal database - Embedded and mobile databases - Privacy and secure databases Submission: Original papers that have not been published previously or are not under review in other journals or conferences will be considered. All submitted papers will be evaluated according to their originality, significance, correctness, presentation, and relevance. Papers should be submitted as PDF file through EasyChair, http://www.easychair.org, which must be formatted according to the conference camera-ready format.
