Call For Papers

Call for Papers

Workshop on "Technologies in the 4G Communication (T4GC)
Co-located with the The First International Conference on Future Generation Communication Technologies (FGCT 2012)
December 12-14, 2012
British Computer Society, London, UK
(http://www.socio.org.uk/fgct/t4gc.php)
All the accepted workshop papers will be published and indexed in the IEEE Xplore. The proceedings will be further indexed in many global databases.

The fourth generation of cellular wireless, which is popularly termed as 4G, has been succeeding the 2G and 3G networks. Thus the future wireless mobile communications will be shifted from today's traditional transmission-specific radio technology to an interface-based technology. The next generation mobile devices will depend on an open wireless architecture (OWA). The OWA platform offers an optimal solution to open up the wireless environment for complete openness and simplicity and would support the service-oriented architecture and infrastructure that is necessary for future mobile phone development and advancement.

4G networks differ from 2G and 3G networks in network topology. 4G OFDMA standards use the components and functionalities of a Heterogeneous Network (HetNets) of cell deployment. 4G is now set to replace the other network communication not merely to offer the mobile broadband data services, but to have significant applications in other related sectors.

The topics covered (but not limited) in the workshop are-

-4 G Architecture
-Open wireless architecture technology
-Multiple wireless standards
-Cellular networks
-802.16e mobile WiMax
-HC-SDMA
-LTE (Long Term Evolution).
-Heterogeneous Networks
-Smart Grids
-Small cell backhaul technology
-Proprietary OFDMA
-Point-to-multipoint technology
-Advanced WiMAX functionality
-Quality of Service (QoS)
-Broadband wireless solutions
-Core Networks
-Voice and data transmission
-Ubiquitous IP Protocols
