We are pleased to announce The Fifth GIS LATAM Conference 2024. This year, the
conference will be in hybrid format, and for authors who are unable to attend, there is also an option to participate virtually. ( indexed Scopus and published in Springer) In addition the accepted papers, whose authors are graduate students, will be eligible to apply for a 100% registration fee waiver. Additionally, if travel is not feasible, authors will have the option to present their work virtually. The event is organized by GIS LATAM GROUP, UPIITA-IPN, and ANTACOM, and hosted by UPIITA-IPN. The focus of this conference is around GIS Research and Education, GeoSpatial Data Science and IA, exploring the intersection of Earth-related topics and emerging trends in geospatial Information Technologies. We welcome submissions on Spatial Data Science, Big Spatial Data, Future Internet, Semantic Web, Smart Cities, and other relevant areas. This conference format presents exciting challenges and opportunities for the GIScience research community, and we look forward to showcasing the latest advancements in AI and GIScience. We invite authors to submit full, original, and unpublished research papers. The review process will follow a double-blind criteria.
