COM.Geo 2014 in Washington DC & Online COM.Geo Virtual Conference

COM.Geo conference is a leading-edge conference with a focus on the latest computing technologies for multidisciplinary research and development that enables the exploration in geospatial areas.

The topics discussed in the conference, including innovations in Big Data applications, mobile computing, could computing, augmented reality, location-based services, Internet of Things (IoT), addressing future impacts and challenges in GIS, Remote Sensing (RS),and GPS, fostered new perspectives about applications of geospatial technology to address global challenges and will inspire further innovation.

Observing trends in new geospatial technology between members of academia, developers, researchers, scientists, and government inspired cross-collaboration among conference attendees. This exchange of new ideas between interdisciplinary fields will result in future advancement and integration of geospatial technology into society.

COM.Geo 2013 keynote speakers were from NASA, Microsoft, Google, OGC, IFTF, Microsoft Research, and Stanford Univeristy. IFTF Distinguished Fellow Mike Liebhold demonstrated the latest research tool using the Google Glass. The diversity of geospatial topics addressed by keynote speakers and audience members was enlightening to us all. The attendees' presence and thoughtful contributions during speaker presentations and the panel discussion made the event a success.

COM.Geo 2014 will take place in Washington, DC, as well as be available online at the COM.Geo Virtual Conference (COM.Geo VC), on August 4-6, 2014. There will be more innovative programs and world-wide people to attend the conference physically or virtually. Besides government agencies and top industries, many cross-disciplinary companies are planning to not only show their latest technologies but also explore tech & market potentials at the conference as well as online COM.Geo VC. COM.Geo 2014 will be a much more exciting event for geospatial computing research and technologies!

COM.Geo 2014 provides diverse opportunities for all decision-makers, engineers, researchers, developers, and users, across industrial companies, government agencies, and academic institutions, to present or demonstrate the latest work or share the latest visions and ideas at the COM.Geo conference, a leading geospatial computing community. COM.Geo presentations include Tech Talks / Demo Talks, Papers, Panels, Posters, Courses, Workshops, Demo Videos, and Hot Short Talks.
