The Scientific Committee has agreed to extend the deadline for papers on Living Labs for OpenLivingLab Days 2015 to Monday the 11th of May 2015. Find out more details below:
=========== OpenLivingLab Days 2015 | Call for Papers ============ As a rather young and recent phenomenon, Living Labs create numerous challenges and issues to be tackled by both scholars and practitioners. It is necessary to add to both the theoretical and practical knowledge on Living Labs in order to advance the learning in this field. Within this call for papers, we welcome both conceptual and empirical papers. Accepted contributions will be published in the proceedings of OpenLivingLab Days 2015 with an ISBN number. The submitted papers should focus preferably, but not exclusively on the following topics: -Frameworks and paradigms for Living Labs -Impact of Living Labs: frameworks, measurement, best practice cases -Living Labs as open innovation networks and ecosystems -User-driven innovation in Living Labs / Bottom-up Living Labs -Failed Living Labs cases or initiatives -Living Labs for social innovation -Entrepreneurship and Living Labs -Living Labs and Future Internet (Research) -Living Labs domain specific cases (education, culture, AAL, environment, energy, food, logistics, mobility etc) -Urban Living Labs and their contribution to developing Future Internet enabled services in Smart Cities -Living Labs involved service design and user experience -Tools and methodologies for Living Labs -Impact assessment in Living Labs -Living Labs & Smart Cities -Tools to bridge gap in between materials research and design New extended deadline for full paper submission: May 11th 2015 Notification of accepted contributions: June 17th 2015 Research Day at OpenLivingLab Days 2015: 25th August 2015 Format for full papers -Please submit your paper in .doc (Word Document) or .odt (Open Document/OpenOffice) format. -Indicate if your submission has been previously published elsewhere. This is to ensure that we do not infringe upon another publisher’s copyright policy. -Include a 1 paragraph abstract that provides the key messages you will be presenting in the paper -Include 3-5 keywords relating to the theme or topics covered by the paper -Provide a 2-3 paragraph conclusion that summarizes the article’s main points and leaves the reader with the most important messages -Include a 75-150 word biography of the author(s) & photo with the paper -The paper length should be between 2000 and 5000 words maximum -References should be made according to APA-style and included at the end of the paper in alphabetical order -All papers must be submitted in English -Please submit your full final paper to info@enoll.org with “Paper Submission for OpenLL15” as the email title by the deadline of April 27th 2015. Submitted papers will be reviewed by referees assigned by the Scientific Steering Committee for acceptance or rejection. The Scientific Steering Committee is chaired by Professor Pieter Ballon, Director Living Living Labs at iMinds, Belgium, & Secretary of the European Network of Living Labs. Papers submitted to OpenLivingLab Days 2015 will be evaluated on their appropriateness of theme for the conference, innovativeness, scientific quality and the final recommendation of the Scientific Steering Committee. Veli-Pekka Niitamo Prize Veli-Pekka Niitamo Prize for best academic contribution for the ENoLL Summer School has been established in memory of Veli-Pekka ‘Vellu’ Niitamo, the Father of the Living Lab movement, long standing member of the ENoLL Council and one of the founding members of the ENoLL Association. This prize will be given to one of the papers presented at the Research Day during the proceedings of the 5th ENoLL Summer School. The prize will be awarded based upon the initial reviewers marks but we are also opening the vote, in a co-creation manner, for all the participants of the summit to decide and vote for what they consider to be the best paper. You will be able to find all of the papers on the USB stick that will be provided at registration and you will be able to vote via this page during the summit itself. Veli-Pekka Niitamo was a member of ENoLL Council for many years and as one of the founding members of the association, contributing actively to ENoLL meetings and policy work. He passed away in December 2012 and this prize has been set up in memory of the great work he did and the contributions he made.
