Call for Papers for the 6th event in series of AGSE (Applied Geoinformatics for Society and Environment)
Venue: - Ahmedabad, India Date: - 16 – 19 December, 2013 Theme: - ‘Geospatial Momentum for Society and Environment’ Organizers: - Dr. Anjana Vyas (CEPT University, India) Dr. Josef Behr (Stuttgart University, Germany) AGSE series of conferences is an interdisciplinary, international forum for sharing knowledge and expertise among the scientists, academia, researchers, professionals and industry about Geoinformatics with specific focus on its applications. The event, organized in collaboration with Stuttgart University and CEPT University, will be held in Ahmedabad, India in December 2013. The conference aims to gather ideas and approaches for enhancing knowledge on applied Geoinformatics for the betterment of society and environment. It will focus on the issues of changing world and the challenges occurring in solving those issues with the help of Geographical Information Science and other Geo-Spatial Technologies. This conference will be of immense value to the Geospatial community. We invite you to participate and explore the potential of geospatial technology and current demand of GIS as a positive force for governments, society and industry providing support in a wide range of topics including planning, development, utility and resource management, transportation, safety and emergency response, research and analysis. The conference is divided into 4 main themes and several sub themes. Main themes are: RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND GEOINFORMATICS SUSTAINABLE LAND MANAGEMENT CLIMATE AND DISASTER OPEN SOURCE AND WEB GIS We also encourage papers that integrate perceptual approaches in Geospatial analysis.
