We invite you to submit proposals for posters and/or one-hour interactive presentations. Proposal topics might include: innovative pedagogy, particularly teaching innovations that focus on student-centred learning and pedagogies of engagement; course and program assessment; global learning, diversity and inclusiveness in the curriculum; online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced teaching; interdisciplinary teaching; scholarship of teaching and learning; graduate education; efforts to increase retention and graduation rates; and mentoring of students and faculty. Following the principles of effective teaching, we are seeking engaging, lively sessions that model an active-learning approach. Preference will be given to proposals that emphasize practical, research-based approaches that can be adapted by participants from a variety of disciplines for immediate use in their college/university classes or academic programs. Participants from the previous conference report they have learned many new ideas they were able to bring back to campus, and have been energized by interacting with a collegial community of educators invested in excellent teaching. Guidelines for Abstracts The abstract should be a concise summary of your paper presentation and should include the aims, methods or approaches used to achieve them, and make references to results or outcomes. It should be typed single-spaced in 12 point type Arial. Each abstract submission is limited to 300 words and should include 3-5 keywords and must include the following information: • Author / authors' full name and affiliations should be indicated after the title of the abstract followed by their contact emails. |
