Objectives:
The goal of the EEOBSS Workshop is to present current European trends and future opportunities for Earth Observation (EO) education in Bulgarian secondary schools. Through an open discussion at the end of the Workshop, the EEOBSS participants will review the recent research accomplishments in the EO education and will come up with a statement that will be distributed to main stakeholders in the secondary school education.
The Workshop objectives are also directed to:
•foster new ideas for network collaborations and joint projects/articles by participants;
•address specific issues/needs in EO secondary school education in Bulgaria.
The workshop will also facilitate the discussions and further work of the EEOBSS Project in: development and publishing of the EEOBSS EO lecture notes and organizing the follow-up event (Round table) in Sofia in November 2017 during SES’2017.

There are two consecutive sessions dedicated to:
1) Foreign approach to EO education in secondary schools;
2) Bulgarian experience and best practices in EO education for secondary schools.

Working languages: Bulgarian and English

Selected papers can be published in EARSeL eProceedings scientific journal (http://www.eproceedings.org/) after peer-review.
