Call For Papers

The International Web Information Systems Engineering conference (also known as the WISE conference) has established itself, and consolidated its position over the years, as among the top conferences in the research areas around the Web. It provides an international forum for scholars, researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their scientific innovations, knowledge and insights in the rapidly growing area of Web technologies, methodologies, and applications to create today the future Web.

The WISE 2025 edition will be held in Marrakech, Morocco. Historically, Morocco was one of the most intellectual centres in the world - a reputation that the AL-Quarawiyin University has contributed to enormously. AL-Qarawiyyin (Al-Karaouine or Al-Quaraouiyine), founded by an Arab woman called Fatima Al-Fihri, is the first university in the history of mankind that still runs in the city of Fez. Marrakech is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco and is also a major economic centre. It is a popular tourist destination with a variety of attractions including palaces, mosques and gardens.

The WISE 2025 Research Track solicits high quality, original papers focusing on important research problems and issues around the Web as a universal platform connecting people, machines and systems. We are particularly interested in submissions focusing on research areas that aim to maximize the positive impact of the Web (and its underlying information systems) on the society and touch the lives of people in important ways.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

• Web Information Systems
• Web-scale Distributed and Cloud Computing
• Deep/Hidden Web
• Clickstream Analytics
• Rich Web UI and HCI
• Semantic Web
• Machine Learning for the Web
• Linked Open Data
• Human Factors and Social Issues
• Web Big Data Techniques and Mining
• Social Web Models and Analysis
• Web Agents and Web Intelligence
• Web Data Models
• Web Information Retrieval and Text Analytics
• Web Metrics and Performance

POLICIES

Dual Submission: It is not appropriate to submit papers that are identical (or substantially similar) to versions that have been previously published, accepted for publication, or submitted in parallel to other conferences or journals. Such submissions violate our dual submission policy, and the organizers have the right to reject such submissions, or to remove them from the proceedings.
Changes of Title / Abstract / Authorship: Authors should include a full title for their paper, as well as a complete abstract by the abstract submission deadline. Submission titles should not be modified after the abstract submission deadline, and abstracts should not be modified by more than 50% after the abstract submission deadline. Submissions violating these rules may be deleted after the paper submission deadline without reviewing. The author list at the submission deadline will be considered final, and no changes in authorship will be permitted for accepted papers.
Double-Blind Review: All submitted papers must be anonymous. WISE 2025 is following the double-blind peer review principle. That is, the authors do not know who reviews their paper and the PC members do not know who the authors of a given paper. Thus, the submitted document should not include the author information and should not include citations or discussion of related work that would make the authorship apparent.

Reviewing Criteria: Accepted papers must contain significant novel results. Results can be either theoretical or empirical. Results will be judged on the degree to which they have been objectively established and/or their potential for scientific and technological impact. Reproducibility of results and easy availability of code will be taken into account in the decision-making process.
