SCOPE
The convergence and evolution of networks and services in Information and Communications Technologies is continuing to drive the need for flexible testing and experimentation environments that respond to a large and diverse set of requirements. The corresponding testbeds range from small dedicated and well-controlled environments up to large scale environments that should exhibit properties anticipated by the future network. The value generation has shifted from the network towards the applications and the networked society is calling for the service environments that will deliver the complex and valued services to the customer, yet a reliable service delivery depends on a reliable network. Open testbeds are becoming state of the art, allowing both wide access as a shared resource and extensibility to include on-demand new end systems, network technologies, protocol stacks, and, most importantly, new middleware and service delivery platforms for specific test purposes. Major research and development programs around the globe have started to develop and deploy large scale experimental facilities, including GENI in the U.S., FIRE in Europe, AKARI, CNGI, and others in Asia. Due to the escalating complexity, attention is increasingly being devoted to cross layer testbeds that can support experiments spanning the network, service delivery and application layers. These Testbeds and Experimental Facilities for the Future Internet will play a pivotal role towards the future network, thus TridentCom 2010 will devote significant attention to them. TridentCom 2010 will provide a forum to explore existing and planned testbed concepts, infrastructures and tools to address the research and business challenges in a world of global convergence.

TOPICS
Prospective authors from academia, industry and government are invited to submit high quality papers in two categories, Full Papers and Testbed Practices Papers, as well as demonstration proposals reporting on all aspects of testbed and research infrastructure operation and management, including, but not limited to:

PUBLICATION
The conference proceedings will be published in the series of the Lecture Notes of the Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (LNICST) by Springer.

SUBMISSION
Selected papers will be considered for publication in ACM/Springer Mobile Networks and Applications Journal (MONET) and a special for International Journal of Communication Networks and Distributed Systems (IJCNDS). Authors are invited to submit Full Papers of up to 16 pages and Testbed Practices Papers of up to 10 pages, including references, figures and tables, formatted according to the Authors’ Instructions for contributions to LNICST proceedings. CALL FOR WORKSHOPS
TridentCom 2010 will feature several one-day or half-day workshops on topics closely related to, or complementing the conference theme. The workshops will focus on latest advances in more focused and active research topics, and aim to provide the unique opportunities of close interaction with researchers with common interests, fostering future collaborations, and leveraging the impact of projects in selected areas.
We cordially invite submissions of workshop proposals. Workshop proposals on emerging topics that are likely to generate significant interest and impact in the research community will be highly preferred. Workshop papers will be published in the TridentCom 2010 proceedings and will be available through Springer LNICST.

CALL FOR TUTORIALS
TridentCom 2010 is soliciting proposals for tutorials of either a half-day (3 hours plus breaks) or a full day (6 hours plus breaks) to be held in conjunction with the conference. Tutorials are an effective way to educate and provide the necessary background to the intended audience enabling them to understand technical advances in the field. For example, tutorials may cover a topic in depth, introduce an emerging application area for testbed technologies, or update the community on recent advances in related fields.
