Call For Papers | |||||||||||
The annual ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining is the leading forum for data mining researchers and practitioners to explore cutting-edge ideas and results, and exchange techniques, tools, and experiences. The information about the conference this year can be found at http://www.kdd.org/kdd2012. During the conference there will be a demonstration session. This demonstration session is designed to allow researchers and practitioners to show their data mining software systems, prototypes, conceptual designs, libraries, etc. in an interactive setting. We will form a program committee for demonstration. The committee encourages the submission of demonstrations that focus on new technology and early prototypes, but will also be interested in submissions based on mature systems with experimental features and functionalities. Your submission must describe how the demonstrated system illustrates contributions to the community of KDD. It must also include technical specification, references to other literature, and optionally include a URL to screenshots or an online version. The submissions will be carefully reviewed by the committee and be selected according to the scenario, novelty, technical advances and challenges, timeliness, potential impact, and practical attractiveness. Note that the marketing of products must be arranged as part of the exhibit program rather than a demonstration. For this kind of request, please refer to “call for exhibits” for more details. To participate please email a short demo proposal to the KDD 2012 Demo/exhibits Co-chairs at exhibitions@kdd2012.com by Apr 6th, 2012. Please note that the proposals must be no more than four pages long and be in PDF or Word format. The notification of accepted demos will be sent out by May 11, 2012. |
