First Workshop on In-Memory Data Management - Applications and Architectures (IMDM 2013)
in conjunction with INFORMATIK 2013 - Informatik angepasst an Mensch, Organisation und Umwelt 43th Annual Meeting of the Society for Computer Science Koblenz, Germany September 16-20, 2013 CALL FOR PAPERS The discussion of new opportunities through innovative decision processes using in-memory data management is the aim of the workshop ?In-Memory Data Management - Applications and Architectures?. It focuses on new applications, technological issues and aspects of practical implementation: * What are promising potential usage areas of in-memory data management for companies in various industries? * What new opportunities arise for business application systems and platforms? Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, practical areas that span a variety of aspects of in-memory data management: * Potential Applications: innovative enterprise applications build on in-memory technology; potential areas of use and benefit assessments * BI Architectures: novel reference architectures of business intelligence platforms with in-memory technologies, e.g. virtual data warehouses * Analytical Applications: in-memory DBMS supporting current trends in analytics, e.g. self-service BI, predictive analytics, Big Data analytics, alternative data structures and workloads (graph, matrices, etc.) * Hybrid Applications: consolidation of transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) enterprise applications * Practical Implementation: deployment, provisioning and sizing of in-memory applications SUBMISSIONS Authors are invited to submit a paper up to 15 pages (in German or English) in LNI format following the submission guidelines available at http://www.gi.de/service/publikationen/lni/. An electronic version (PDF format) of the full paper should be submitted by the paper submission deadline to https://www.conftool.pro/informatik2013/. All submissions will be acknowledged. More information is available on the IMDM 2013 web page. Each paper will be peer reviewed by at least two experts in the topical area. Papers accepted by the workshop will be published in the GI-Edition "Lecture Notes in Informatics" (LNI).
