* Camera Ready: 20 May 2010

Scope

The fundamental role of logic in the field of data management is
well-known and beyond dispute. Classical logic, however, fails to
deal appropriately with inconsistent data. In particular, everything,
thus nothing useful, can be logically deduced from inconsistency.
To avoid, work around, resolve, or even take advantage of extant
inconsistencies, many alternative approaches have been proposed and
are being used. Such approaches are needed since, in spite of any
preventive measures, inconsistency is unavoidable. In fact, most
sizable databases tend to contain data that violate some integrity
constraints, and increasingly many applications are dealing with
logically conflicting data. The DALI workshop focuses on logic
approaches and applications to data management that cope with
inconsistency.

We are calling for papers presenting original research, innovative
ideas, work in progress, industrial experience, case studies or
position statements. Data, logics and inconsistency-related
applications that are of interest include the following topics
and related issues.

Submissions

Authors are encouraged to submit an electronic version (preferably .pdf)
of original unpublished work by March 20, 2011. Please navigate to the
DALI'11 link of http://confdriver.ifs.tuwien.ac.at/dexa2011 for submission.

Full papers must neither be published nor currently revised elsewhere,
contain an abstract of up to 200 words, and be written in English.
The IEEE format of final versions of accepted papers (5 double column
text pages) is recommended. All papers submitted to DALI 2011 will be
peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings
volume of the DEXA 2011 workshops. In case of questions or problems,
please contact the DALI organizers.
