The conference International Days on Thermal Science and Energy, formerly better known as Journées internationales de thermique, is now launching the 21st Edition.
The JITH 2026 event addresses four main topics, three of which are constant at each edition, whereas Topic 4 is edition-specific. In 2026, Topic 4 is dedicated to Green Hydrogen and Artificial Intelligence. * Topic 1: Fundamental Developments in Thermal Science * Topic 2: Renewable Energy * Topic 3: Energy Efficiency in Industry, Building, Transport and Agriculture * Topic 4: Green Hydrogen and Artificial Intelligence The International Days on Thermal Science and Energy (JITH) aim to strengthen scientific collaboration between the northern and southern Mediterranean countries, while offering young researchers a platform of choice to present their research work. This event addresses societal challenges related to energy and the environment, with a focus on innovative research. The 21st edition will be dedicated to green hydrogen as a clean energy vector and the role of artificial intelligence in the energy sector and ecological transition. Produced from renewable resources, green hydrogen is a promising solution for decarbonizing industry and transportation. Simultaneously, AI opens new avenues for optimizing resource management and improving the efficiency of energy systems. Alongside the conference, interactive workshops will be organized on recent key topics. * Full papers of a maximum length of six (6) pages are expected following the paper submission instructions and the time schedule. Papers must comply with one of the templates, either English template or French template. * The official languages of JITH 2026 are English and French and presentation sessions will be scheduled accordingly if necessary. Yet, contributions in English, written and oral, are highly encouraged to ensure the JITH outcome benefits to the widest audience. * The contributions undergo a rigorous peer-review process in one single phase of full paper submission (no abstract phase). Each contribution is evaluated by two reviewers from the JITH Scientific Committee and further international experts. * The full paper submission has to be performed online via the platform Meteor of Springer Nature. * Only registered communications will be presented at the conference and published online on the JITH website. At least one co-author must be registered for each paper. * Oral presentations will be privileged. Poster presentations are possible if preferred by their authors or for contributions as "work in progress". Important Dates Full paper submission (6 pages): 15 February 2026 First notification to authors (provisional acceptance): 15 April 2026 Final paper submission (after revision if applicable): 15 May 2026 Final notification of acceptance to authors: 15 June 2026 For more information, visit: https://jith.eu/index.php/jith-2026/jith-2026-call |
