Call For Papers

IPCA Centre for Waste Management and Research, TERI School of Advanced Studies, India is organising an International Conference on 'Integrating Sustainable Waste Supply Chain Logistics and Low Carbon Pathways for a Circular Economy' on 16-17 January 2026 in Delhi, India. Research papers are invited from a wide variety of interdisciplinary and theoretical perspectives for presentation at the international conference. The submissions are organised into the themes listed below:

Theme 1: Advanced Recycling Technologies
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: Waste to resource recovery solutions (energy, fuel & other value-added product), AI-driven sorting and material classification, Bio-recycling, Chemical recycling of plastics, Decentralised recycling, and Localised recycling solutions.

Theme 2: Circular Supply Chain Design for Low-Carbon Transition
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: Blockchain for waste traceability, Circular economy and supply chain logistics, Internet of Things (IoT) for circular, low-carbon logistics networks, and Reverse logistics for carbon footprint reduction.

Theme 3: Optimisation Models for Waste Management Logistics
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: AI and Big Data for waste generation and process optimization, Blockchain for recycling and remanufacturing, Environmental Life cycle assessment (E-LCA) for waste recycling, and Modelling and optimisation of waste-to-resource pathways.

Theme 4: Policy and Regulatory Frameworks for Circular and Low-Carbon Economies
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in logistics and recycling, Fiscal instruments for recycling, Hybrid approaches for carbon and circularity indicators, Low carbon and Circular economy in urban and rural settings, and Policy analysis for Circular Economy and Carbon Neutrality.

Theme 5: Industrial Waste Management and Urban Mining
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: Circularity in the life cycles of electronics and IT infrastructure, Decision-support pathways, Greenhouse gas accounting, Industrial symbiosis to minimize waste and emissions, Urban mining for secondary raw materials—economic and logistical challenges, and Recovery of critical raw materials

Theme 6: Sustainable Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: PLM for circular supply chains, Reverse logistics: refurbishing, remanufacturing, or recycling, and Recyclability & material recovery for product design.

Theme 7: Social and Behavioural Aspects for Low-Carbon and Circular Economies
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: Awareness and promotional incentives, Behavioural change for waste segregation, Consumer and corporate behaviours, and Stakeholder engagement models.

Theme 8: Collaborative Approaches for Circular and Low-Carbon Economies
Some suggested examples of topics under this theme are: Bioeconomy and agro-waste management, Bio-medical waste, and Circularity in the management of construction and demolition (C&D) waste, E- waste, etc.

Invitations will be extended for high-quality research papers to be included as chapters in an edited book. In that case, the paper will undergo another round of blinded review process. The editor may contact you for resubmission of paper in the format required for the book chapter.
