Call For Papers

The ENSURE (Embedding iNtelligence in Smart mUnicipalities – Challenges and Opportunities) workshop is a one-day event co-located with the ISC2 2025 conference. It brings together researchers and engineers from academia and industry to address critical challenges in the technological and regulatory transformations shaping smart cities.

The convergence of Edge AI, Cyber-Physical Systems of Systems (CPSoS), and the IoT-edge-cloud continuum demands new approaches that balance innovation with trust, privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance—especially with evolving regulations like the EU AI Act, the Data Governance Act, and the Cyber Resilience Act.

ENSURE offers a holistic view by integrating technological innovations and regulatory perspectives, aiming to enhance citizen trust while embedding intelligence into urban environments responsibly.
