Other top markets include the Philippines (2.2 billion hours streamed/month), Thailand (1.41 billion hours/month) and Vietnam (1 billion hours/month). In fact, 57 per cent of OTT viewers have increased streaming during COVID and 73 per cent plan to maintain or increase OTT consumption even after the pandemic. Streaming uptake during COVID has been fastest in Indonesia, with 66 per cent streaming more, 59 per cent in Vietnam and 58 per cent in Malaysia. Why Now? The ASEAN region is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. It is estimated the region will be worth more than US$ 200 billion by 2025, thanks to the large number of people online, the huge population of young people, and the significant growth in mobile broadband adoption.
