Call For Papers

We are pleased to announce the Doctoral Forum on Mobile Data Management as part of the MDM 2024 conference. Building on the success of previous editions, the forum offers a unique platform for PhD students and recent graduates to present their dissertation research in mobile data management.

The primary objective of this forum is to establish a valuable environment for PhD students, regardless of their current stage in doctoral studies, enabling them to showcase their research projects. Within this setting, these students can receive constructive feedback from seasoned researchers specialising in mobile data management and its associated fields.

The forum is set to feature a session where PhD students can showcase their ongoing work alongside personalised mentoring through Small Group Discussions. Additionally, a dedicated panel session will delve into diverse career paths in academia and industry, providing valuable insights to enrich the professional journey of PhD students.

Submission Guidelines
We encourage submissions from students currently enrolled in doctoral programs and recent graduates who completed their PhD dissertations after July 2022. Submissions should be single-authored, while contributions of advisors and co-authors can be acknowledged in the abstract. Students with paper(s) accepted in MDM main tracks are encouraged to submit to the Doctoral Forum.

The page limit is three pages, including references. A peer-review process will ensure the quality and relevance of the proposed manuscript. The accepted submissions will appear in the proceedings of MDM 2024.

All submissions need to follow IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscript Formatting Guidelines. See templates here: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html.

Please use the following URL for paper submissions: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/MDM2024/

The Review Process will be single-blind (i.e., the reviewers are not identified).
