ICCD 2020: Call for Special Sessions and Tutorial Proposals =========================================================== The International Conference on Computer Design (ICCD) encompasses a wide range of topics in the research, design, and implementation of computer systems and their components. ICCD's multi-disciplinary emphasis provides an ideal environment for developers and researchers to discuss practical and theoretical work covering systems and applications, computer architecture, verification and test, design tools and methodologies, circuit design, and technology. Researchers both from academia and industry are invited to submit proposals for special sessions. A special session could consist of a set of individual presentations or a panel. Special sessions should aim at providing a complementary experience with respect to the regular sessions. Hence, sessions focusing on hot topics of interest to the community that may also go beyond disciplines traditionally represented at ICCD are particularly welcome. ICCD 2020 – Now Taking Place Virtually ====================================== The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. After evaluating the current COVID-19 situation, the decision has been made to transform the in-person component of ICCD 2020 into an all-digital conference experience – ICCD 2020 will now be an online event. Therefore, ICCD 2020 will no longer take place in Hartford, Massachusetts, USA, and will instead take place virtually. The conference dates remain the same: October 18-21, 2020. Proceedings will not be canceled, publications will continue as planned, and the registration fee will be adjusted accordingly. Details will be provided in the coming weeks. For questions, please contact (khan@uconn.edu). Special Session Proposal Submission =================================== * A single PDF file including the following information: • Title of special session; • Rationale of the need for the special session at ICCD. The rationale should stress the novelty of the topic and/or its multidisciplinary flavor, and must explain how it is different from the subjects covered by the regular sessions; • Short biography of the organizers; • List of contributed presentations (including titles, presenters, contact information of the corresponding presenter, and an abstract of each contribution). For panel proposals, list the panelists and their area of expertise. * Proposals are due on or before July 10, 2020 11:59 PM and should be submitted through EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccd2020) (Special Sessions). Questions regarding special session proposal should be sent to ICCD 2020 Special Session Chair — Cunxi Yu (cunxi.yu@utah.edu). Important Dates: ================ • Special Session proposal due: July 24, 2020 • Acceptance notification: August 3, 2020 • Contribution submission deadline: August 17, 2020 • Camera-ready version due: September 18, 2020 Tutorial Proposal Submission ============================ * A single PDF file including the following information: • Tutorial title; • Short description of its main objectives and topics, and its relevance to the ICCD community; • List of organizers and speakers with short bio, including the recent activity that is relevant to the topic of the tutorial; • Tentative length and format of the tutorial (lecture, hands-on), and any special requirement for the tutorial room; • If the tutorial has been previously offered, provide information on the conference, date, and number of attendees. * Tutorial Proposals are due on or before September 5, 2020 11:59 PM and should be sent via e-mail to the ICCD 2020 Tutorial Chair — Cunxi Yu (cunxi.yu@utah.edu) * Notification of acceptance will be sent to the organizers by September 20, 2020 |
