2019 Theme is “BUILD"ing SUSTAINABLE REDEVELOPMENT: GETTING IN THE OPPORTUNITY ZONE
New laws invite more investment in brownfields and distressed communities

CALL FOR SESSIONS
(Panels, Lightning Talks, Posters)

Now in its 10th year, the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE) will be hosting the Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop (NSCW) 2019 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, New Jersey on June 4, 2019. The NSCW’s goal is to break new ground, offer new ideas and new concepts on the topics of sustainability, collaboration and leverage, emerging contaminants, resiliency, redevelopment challenges, technology, and their impact on community revitalization. Our past events have been attended by representatives from government, higher education, professional organizations, and laboratories, as well as attorneys, developers, contractors, and consultants.

This year’s theme is “BUILD”ing SUSTAINABLE REDEVELOPMENT: GETTING IN THE OPPORTUNITY ZONE” because new laws invite more investment in brownfields and distressed communities. NSCW is like no other conference you’ve attended. PowerPoint presentations are sparse and image-only; speakers are concise, yet informative; and, there is plenty of time in each session for dialogue between attendees, speakers, and moderators. Due to BCONE’s unique regional nature, panels include speakers from different states and municipalities so that information is shared across geographic lines. Come be a part of the conversation!

Session Options:

60-minute Plenary session – Moderator, 3 panelists, Q&A portion, sponsorship @ $5,000*
50-minute session – Moderator, 3 panelists, Q&A portion, , sponsorship @ $2,700
