Call For Papers

Welcome submissions to 2020 the 5th International Workshop on Emerging Computing Paradigms and Context in Business Process Management (CCBPM2020, http://itseg.org/ccbpm2020/) which will be held in conjunction with The 20th IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud and Internet Computing (CCGrid2020) at Melbourne, Australia on May 11, 2020.

The goal of CCBPM2020 is to promote the role of emerging computing paradigms such as Mobile-Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, Fog Computing, and Context in business process management (BPM) by discussing (1) what the distributed computing and context community can bring to BPM community, including business and scientific workflow management; and (2) what are the challenges of BPM and workflow system that BPM community think these emerging computing paradigms and context (e.g. context-aware fog computing based workflow system) may solve. We are looking for extension of business processes and workflows like Fog/context-based BPM and workflow, and if possible, contextualized Fog BPM and workflow systems. After the previous CCBPM events (previously named as “Cloud and Context in Business Process Management”) CCBPM2013 (October 28, 2013, Annecy, Haute-Savoie, France), CCBPM2014 (August 27, 2014, Beijing, China), and CCBPM2015 (November 4, 2015, Shanghai, China), CCBPM2018 (September 10, 2018, Sydney, Australia), CCBPM2020 will be extended in its scope to accommodate the latest progress in computing paradigms especially on Edge and Fog Computing.

All accepted papers will be published as part of the CCGRID proceedings. All previous CCGRID proceedings have been published by the IEEE and available online through IEEE Digital Library (EI indexing).

Selected papers, after significant extension, will be recommended to the following journal special issues
– CCPE special issue on “Edge Computing Accelerated Deep Learning – Technologies and Applications”. Please visit http://www.cc-pe.net/journalinfo/issues/2020.html#CCBPM2020 for more details.
