Symmetry SI on Symmetry with Gravity and Particle Theories----The 29th Workshop on General Relativity and Gravitation in Japan
---- SCI, Scopus ---- IF 2.143 (2018) Call for Papers Symmetry is the most important guiding principle for constructing realistic theories of gravity and particles. Gauge symmetries, that is, local symmetries, play the main role in obtaining consistent quantum theories for the models of particles with a spin of greater than or equal to one, such as with gauge particles and graviton. Furthermore, gauge symmetries strongly restrict the models. On the other hand, many global symmetries appear in low-energy effective theories, although there seems to be no exact global symmetry, which is broken either spontaneously or explicitly. Low energy symmetries may also appear emergently. Topics of Interest • local symmetry • global symmetry • breakdown of symmetries • origin of symmetries • emergent symmetries • gravity and particles Paper Submission Authors are invited to submit papers for this special issue through E-mail: Linda.cui@mdpi.com. The submission deadline is 31 March 2020, however, it can be extended upon request. Moreover, the papers would be published shortly after peer-review. You may send your manuscript any time now until the deadline. Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this Journal. Note Symmetry is indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science, IF 2.143), ACS, INSPIRE-HEP Search, and Scopus (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/symmetry/indexing). Open access: Symmetry is fully open access. Open access (unlimited and free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations, as indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the authors and their institutes. Rapid publication: Manuscripts are peer-reviewed, and a first decision provided to authors approximately 14.2 days after submission; acceptance to publication is undertaken in 5.8 days (median values for papers published in this journal in the second half of 2018). |
