This special session deals with the problems of design of multivariable control systems. The control
algorithms dedicated to plants with different numbers of input and output variables play a significant
role in the modern control theory. Through an application of special selected methods we can improve
a widely understood robustness of such control laws. In order to present the achievements in the field
of multivariable control design the theoretical and practical aspects can be demonstrated.
