Call For Papers

We would like to invite you to submit original contributions to Track 2: Advances in Artificial Intelligence, as part of the 15th ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications AICCSA 2018 (AICCSA’18), to be held in the lovely and highly vibrant city of Aqaba, Jordan, from October 28 to November 01, 2018. The submission may include technical and experimental, theoretical, conceptual, or a survey paper. All submissions will be peer-reviewed on the basis of relevance, originality, importance, and clarity.

Track description
-------------------------------------------

Artificial Intelligence research has produced impressive results in the last years. Both academia and industry are actively working to advance in the long-awaited goal of creating sophisticated machines that can perform tasks usually better executed by humans. The methods to produce intelligent systems have been emerged from several sub-areas, including search methods, intelligent agents, machine learning, knowledge representation, reasoning, among others. Successful applications areas include computer vision, social media, medicine, finances, linguistics, robotics, etc. We hope that this edition of the Advances in AI track can be a forum where researchers from academia and industry may exchange experience, new techniques, and theoretical advances to contribute in the realization of Artificial Intelligence.

Important Dates
--------------------------------------------------

Paper Submission: March 30, 2018
Notification to authors: June 30, 2018
Camera-ready papers due: August 1, 2018

Submissions Guidelines and PROCEEDINGS
----------------------------------------------------

Manuscripts should be prepared in 10-point font using the IEEE 8.5" x 11" two-column format. All papers should be in PDF format, and submitted electronically at the Paper Submission Link. A full paper must not exceed 8 pages (including all figures, tables, and references). The paper must include up to 7 keywords. Submitted papers must present original unpublished research that is not currently under review for any other conference or journal. Papers not following these guidelines may be rejected without review. Also, submissions received after the due date, exceeding length limit, or not appropriately structured may also not be considered. Authors may contact the Program Chair for further information or clarification. Authors of accepted papers are expected to present their work at the conference. Submitted papers that are deemed of good quality but that could not be accepted as regular papers will be accepted as short papers.
All submissions are blind peer-reviewed by at least three reviewers. Accepted papers will appear in the Conference Proceedings, published by the IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Services, and submitted to IEEE Xplore for inclusion.
Double-Blind Peer Review Guidelines
AICCSA 2018 uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. To facilitate this, authors need to ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not give away their identity or affiliation. Please, check the conference general CFP for more information about how to prepare the blinded manuscript.

Special Issues
-------------------------------------------------------

Selected papers from the conference will be invited to submit an extended version to a number of selected journals. Papers will be selected based on their reviewers’ scores and appropriateness to the Journal’s theme. All extended versions will undergo reviews and must represent original unpublished research work. Further details will be made available at a later stage.
