Call for Papers
BreSci - XII Brazilian e-Science Workshop
Satellite Event of the XXXVIII Congress of the Brazilian Computer Society
Natal-RN, Brazil, July 22-26, 2018

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the last decades, there has been a revolution in the way science and engineering have been conducted by using information and communication technologies (ICTs) in an intensive way. This new way of performing science, called e-Science, plays a fundamental role in the methodology of work adopted by many research groups around the world. Aiming to collaborate with e-Science efforts, proposing a forum for the discussion of relevant topics in this area of study, the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) will hold, on July 22-26, 2018, the 12th edition of the Brazilian e-Science Workshop (XII BreSci). The event is part of the activities of the XXXVIII Brazilian Computer Society Congress (CSBC) and will be based at the Natal Convention Center, in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.

IMPORTANT DATES
- Deadline for papers submission: April 2nd until 12:00 p.m. (BRT), 2018

SUBMISSIONS

Both the main and application tracks will accept submissions of complete papers (up to eight pages) and short papers (up to four pages), written in English or Portuguese. Papers should be formatted according to the SBC template (http://sbc.org.br/documentos-da-sbc/summary/169-templates-for-papers-and-book-capitulos/878-modelsforapublicofpapers).

All submissions will be reviewed according to the following criteria: suitability for workshop scope, relevance, technical quality, originality and clarity. Papers describing preliminary and ongoing work may also be submitted. Results are desirable (especially in full papers), but not required. Papers will be reviewed in pairs, and the selected papers will be published in the proceedings of the event and should be presented in technical sessions during the workshop.

Submissions should be made via the Brazilian Computer Society submission system (JEMS): https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/csbc2018_bresci.
