CALL FOR PAPERS

====================================
9th ACM Cloud Computing Security Workshop
In Conjunction with ACM CCS 2017
Dallas, Texas, USA
Friday, November 3, 2017
https://ccsw2017.gmu.edu/
====================================

The use and prevalence of cloud and large-scale computing infrastructures is increasing. They are projected to be a dominant trend in computing for the foreseeable future: major cloud operators are now estimated to house millions of machines each and to host substantial (and growing) fractions of corporate and government IT infrastructure. CCSW is a forum for bringing together researchers and practitioners to discuss the challenges and implications of current and future trends to the security and privacy of cloud operators, tenants, and the larger Internet community. Of special interest are the security and privacy challenges from the integration of cloud infrastructures with IoT and mobile application deployments. We invite submissions on new threats, countermeasures, intelligent algorithms, novel paradigms, controversial ideas, unconventional approaches, and opportunities brought about by the move to cloud computing, as well as measurement and case studies that shed light on the security and privacy implications of clouds. ACM CCSW'17 seeks submissions from academia, industry, and government presenting novel research, as well as experimental studies, on all theoretical and practical aspects of security, privacy, and data protection in cloud scenarios.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Secure cloud resource virtualization
- Secure data management outsourcing
- Practical privacy and integrity mechanisms for outsourcing
- Cloud-centric threat models Secure outsourced computation
- Remote attestation mechanisms in clouds
- Sandboxing and VM-based enforcement
- Trust and policy management in clouds
- Secure identity management mechanisms
- Cloud-aware web service security paradigms and mechanisms
- Cloud-centric regulatory compliance issues and mechanisms
- Business and security risk models for clouds
- Cost and usability models and their interaction with cloud security
- Scalability of secure clouds
- Trusted computing technology and clouds
- Analysis of software for remote attestation and cloud protection
- Network security (DoS, IDS, etc.) mechanisms for clouds
- Security & privacy for cloud programming models
- Privacy-enhancing machine-learning in clouds
- Secure and privacy-protecting IoT clouds
- Accountable Data Analytics for clouds

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
========================

CCSW is soliciting full papers of up to 12 pages, and short papers of up to 5 pages. (Accepted short papers will also have a shorter presentation slot at the meeting.) Submissions must use the ACM SIG Proceedings templates in double-column format with a font no smaller than 10 point. Each submission should be clearly labeled "short" or "full". Only PDF files will be accepted. Submissions must be anonymous, and authors should refer to their previous work in the third person. Submissions must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. Submissions not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits. Each accepted paper must be presented by one registered author. Presented papers will be published by the ACM Press and/or the ACM Digital Library.
