Call For Papers

Journal Questions and Answers in Linguistics invites submissions of original scholarly papers in the field of theoretical and experimental linguistics.

ABOUT THE JOURNAL

Who are we?
Questions and Answers in Linguistics (QAL) is an online, open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by Center for General and Comparative Linguistics at the University of Wrocław in cooperation with De Gruyter. QAL presents papers focused on problematic areas of linguistic research, based on data from diverse languages. We express an interest in interdisciplinary research employing methods from typology, historical studies, corpus studies and experimental psycho- or neurolinguistics providing an empirical background to purely theoretical and formal research. We assume that an exhaustive understanding of a phenomenon as complex as natural language can only come about from bringing together pieces of evidence from many different sources. We also believe that science benefits from a free circulation of ideas. That's why we operate under the principles of full open-access. The articles we publish are available on the internet immediately after publication for anyone to download free of charge.
