DEMAS: Deliberative Multi-Agent Systems ( Call for Contributions )
along with ICAS 2017, May 21 - 25, 2017 - Barcelona, Spain The Thirteenth International Conference on Autonomic and Autonomous Systems http://www.iaria.org/conferences2017/ICAS17.html [www.iaria.org] Chair and Coordinator Prof. Dra. Jerusa Marchi, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil jerusa.marchi@ufsc.br Co-chair: Prof. Dr. Ricardo Silveira, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil ricardo.silveira@ufsc.br The purpose of the DEMAS, Deliberative Multi-Agent Systems, special track is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the theory and applications in the areas of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems based on deliberative architectures. The track focuses mainly on Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Representation, Planning, Learning, Scheduling, Perception and other topics related to Agents and Multi-Agent Systems based on deliberative architectures. A substantial amount of research work is ongoing in these knowledge areas, in an attempt to discover appropriate theories and paradigms to use in real-world applications. Much of this important work is, therefore, theoretical in nature. This special track intends to emphasize the connection between theoretical issues on deliberative multi agent systems and their connection with systems automation, methodologies and techniques for designing, implementing and deploying autonomous systems. In this special track, the objective of contributions is to discuss the following topics related to the design, implementation and deploying of autonomous systems: - Distributed Problem Solving - Agent Communication Languages - Agent Models and Architectures - Cooperation and Coordination - Conversational Agents - Negotiation and Interaction Protocols - Programming Environments and Languages - Task Planning and Execution - Truth - Emotions - Belief Change - Ontologies and Semantic Web - Group Decision Making Important Datelines - Inform the Chair: As soon as you decided and secured the financial support - Submission: February 28 - Notification with comments for camera-ready: March 15 - Registration: March 25 - Camera ready: April 9 Contribution Types - Regular papers [in the proceedings, digital library] - Short papers (work in progress) [in the proceedings, digital library] - Posters: two pages [in the proceedings, digital library] - Posters: slide only [slide-deck posted on www.iaria.org [www.iaria.org]] - Presentations: slide only [slide-deck posted on www.iaria.org [www.iaria.org]] - Demos: two pages [posted on www.iaria.org [www.iaria.org]] Paper Format - See: http://www.iaria.org/format.html [www.iaria.org] - Before submission, please check and comply with the editorial rules: http://www.iaria.org/editorialrules.html [www.iaria.org] Publications - Extended versions of selected papers will be published in IARIA Journals: http://www.iariajournals.org [www.iariajournals.org] - Print proceedings will be available via Curran Associates, Inc.: http://www.proceedings.com/9769.html [www.proceedings.com] - Articles will be archived in the free access ThinkMind Digital Library: http://www.thinkmind.org [www.thinkmind.org] Paper Submission Inform the Chair: with the Title of your Contribution Submission URL: https://www.iariasubmit.org/conferences/submit/newcontribution.php?event=ICAS+2017+Special [www.iariasubmit.org] Please select Track Preference as DEMAS Registration - Each accepted paper needs at least one full registration, before the camera-ready manuscript can be included in the proceedings. - Registration fees are available at http://www.iaria.org/registration.html [www.iaria.org] Contact Prof. Dra.
