Fog computing (or, Edge computing) paradigm has been proposed to push data analytics and knowledge discovery tasks to the edges of the Internet. This calls for novel theories and models to realize the full potential of Fog computing. In Fog computing, edge devices, though having limited computational capabilities, will contribute significantly in processing of data, handling appropriate business logic, reacting to events, disasters and emergencies in real-time, and so on. Building Fog computing systems to achieve these aspects will be key to the success of future smart cities, smart homes, e-health systems, and emergency management systems, etc.
The Fog Computing Systems track invites original contributions, best practices, and proof-of-concept work from both academia and industry regarding latest developments in the Fog computing domain. Topics of FOGSYS encompass, but are not limited to: 1. Fog Computing and Internet of Things 2. Fog Computing and Smart City 3. Fog Computing and Smart Home 4. E-Health with Fog Computing 5. Security and Privacy in Fog Computing 6. Applications of Fog Computing 7. Trends of Fog Computing 8. Theory and Modeling of Distributed Intelligence 9. Disaster and Emergency Management in Fog Computing |
