Call For Papers

(In conjunction with The 10th IEEE International Conference on Big Data Science and Engineering (BigDataSE2016: http://adnet.tju.edu.cn/BigDataSE2016))

While other big data challenges, such as efficient storage and distributed processing architectures for data at rest, have attracted a large number of researchers' attention internationally, a growing number of real world applications prioritize timeliness of data processing at high velocity, over long term storage. Traditional data management infrastructures are only partly capable of meeting with such real-time requirements and mostly at the expense of model accuracy. This is especially true in the case of real time data stream analytics in which the transformations of the data in order to meet the data model specifications as well as the design of predictive and prescriptive mechanisms infuse great uncertainty and overheads in the entire process. New algorithms, data models and transformations, as well as novel architectures, are expected to revolutionize this field of science, meeting with the growing demands of application domains such as the analysis of telecommunication calling records, credit card transaction flows, network monitoring and traffic engineering, stock exchange, power supply & manufacturing, security monitoring, social, web logs and sensor, monitoring & surveillance data.

Following the success of the 1st RTStreams workshop, held in Finland, August 2015, we invite contributions that reflect evaluated work in the field of real time analytics on stream data and in particular in the following fields:
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to Algorithms, architectures, analytics, data structures, systems and applications for:

Social analytics in high frequency data streams
Big stream data integration/fusion
Models and data structures for high frequency data stream analysis
Query optimization in big data streams
Complex event processing techniques in big data streams
Graph analysis on big data streams
Big data stream visualization
Low-power computing infrastructures tackling big data challenges

Important Dates

Paper submission deadline: May 10th, 2016
Author notification: May 31st, 2016
Final manuscript due: July 1st, 2016

Submission Instructions

Papers submitted should be written in English conforming to the IEEE Conference Proceedings Format (8.5" x 11", Two-Column). The paper should be submitted through the EasyChair System. The length of the papers should not exceed 6 pages + 2 pages for over length charges.

Accepted and presented papers will be included into the IEEE Conference Proceedings published by IEEE CS CPS and submitted to IEEE Xplore and CSDL. Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, are requested to register and present their work at the conference, otherwise their papers will be removed from the digital libraries of IEEE CS after the conference. Distinguished papers presented at the conference, after further revision, will be recommended to special issues of reputable SCI/EI-indexed journals.

Submitting a paper to the workshop means that, if the paper is accepted, at least one author should attend the Symposium and present the paper.
