We are pleased to announce the 3rd edition of the SKIMA 2009 International Conference, related to Knowledge Management and Applications. El Beqqali, Universit? de F?s ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Call for Papers SKIMA 2009 International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications Oct 21-23, 2009, Fes, Morocco http://iutcerral.univ-lyon2.fr/SKIMA09/ AIMS AND SCOPE: The aim of SKIMA is to bring together researchers and industrial experts in knowledge management, software Engineering and Information Systems to share their knowledge, ideas and experience. The main focus is at topics currently of interests having practical benefits for society. This conference, supported by IEEE, has been started in an international collaboration context between European and Asian professionals within some European programs. It is also intended from the beginning to be an open forum between researchers from developed and emerging countries to communicate and discuss research findings, and propose possible solutions to better enhance their future collaboration. This year, the conference will be held in Fes - Morocco, October 21-23, 2009, just after the CPI'2009 conference on Design, Production and Innovation (http://www.supmeca.fr/cpi2009/) that will be held in the same city at the beginning of the same week. This will give to SKIMA and CPI participants a unique opportunity to interact, build relationship and exchange ideas about new applications and methodologies. A common strategic CPI/SKIMA session will be held on the first day of SKIMA 2009, related to fostering collaboration and leveraging research outcomes through specific international research programs. SKIMA participants, who are interested in CPI topics and would like to attend, will have special and affordable rates. All submissions must follow the format provided by IEEE (instruction at http://www.ieee.org). Submission of papers will be carried out electronically via the web in PDF, Word Document or postscript format. After acceptance, the authors are required to prepare a 8-pages (maximum) paper for the inclusion in the proceedings of the conference. All accepted paper will be published in the conference proceedings. The extended version of some selected best papers will be proposed for publication in special issues of the International Journal of Computational Intelligence Research (IJCIR), the International Journal of Product Development (IJPD) and the International Journal of Product Lifecycle Management (IJPLM).
