Call For Papers

Special Sessions - Call for Papers

Established by the IEEE Standards Association Standards Board, IEEE SCCs (IEEE Standards Coordinating Committees) provide a valuable mechanism to oversee the development of standards that are beyond the scopes of individual technical committees within IEEE societies.

Being supported by over 30 IEEE Societies and Councils, IEEE SCC42 Transportation (IEEE Standards Coordinating Committee on Transportation) leads the coordination of IEEE standardization activities for technologies related to transportation, especially in the areas of connected vehicles, autonomous / automated vehicles, inter- and intra-vehicle communications, and other types of transportation electrification. These technologies include but are not limited to Mobile Apps, Sensor Networks, and Communications that allow human to vehicle, vehicle to vehicle, vehicle to infrastructure, vehicle to platform, and vehicle to everything exchange of information and data. Where standardization needs exist, the SCC will develop guides, recommended practices, standards, and common definitions of terms.

In order to collect input for the IEEE SCC42 Transportation, we are pleased to announce the following Special Sessions:
- Big Data in Transportation and Smart Cities
- Emerging Application Scenarios and Business Models in Transportation
- Emerging Technologies for Next-Generation Transportation
- Regional Experience and Differences in Transportation
- Standardization Needs for Connected, Automated and Intelligent Vehicles
- Standardization Needs for Electric Vehicle and Transportation Electrification

Prospective authors are invited to submit digest papers (IEEE standard format, double column, 10-point font, US letter, 2 pages) or full papers (IEEE standard format, double column, 10-point font, US letter, 4~6 pages) for presentation at the ICCVE 2015 conference and publication in the Proceedings.

The IEEE templates in Microsoft Word and LaTeX format can be found at:
http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html
