CISMA 2015: First International Workshop on the Convergence of Cloud computing, Internet of Things and Social Media (October 28-30, 2015, Daejeon, South Korea)
====================================================== ** Extended deadline: August 15, 2015 *** ====================================================== URL: https://sites.google.com/site/cloudcompcisma2015/ Submission URL: http://cloudcomp.eu/2015/show/initial-submission CISMA 2015 is in conjunction with the 6th International Conference on Cloud Computing (CloudComp 2015). Accepted workshop papers will be published in the CloudComp Conference Proceedings and by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST). Selected best papers will be further considered for possible publication in the special issue on "Cloudified and Software Defined 5G Networks: Architecture, Solutions, and Emerging Applications"of Springer Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) journal (SCIE-indexed, IF:1.496) In recent years Internet of things, cloud computing and social media are converging to open a new horizon of ubiquitous sensing, computing and social interaction to support better communication and collaboration among people and things. The combination of cloud computing and IoT can enable ubiquitous sensing services and powerful processing of sensing data streams beyond the capability of individual “things”, thus stimulating innovations in both fields. The combination of social network and cloud can provide a new way of resource sharing through social interactions. The combination of social network and IoT can make all things socialized – social relationships will exist between people and things, and between things and things. Finally, the convergence of these technologies will become a reality, through the fifth generation (5G) mobile technologies that are envisaged to lead to higher‐level users’ experiences, significantly supporting increased data rates (i.e. peak data rates of 10 Gb/s). However, there exist several challenges and design issues that need to be resolved to utilize the full potential of this converging paradigm. We seek high quality papers that were not published elsewhere and have scientific values relevant to several topics of interest including, but not limited to, the following: TOPICS: * Big data processing techniques for convergence paradigm * Resource Management for social IoT-Cloud platform * Interconnection of IoT with social network and 5G environments * System design issues and modeling for convergence paradigm * Trust and security in cloud-based social network platform * Architecture of IoT-Cloud in 5G access technologies * QoE/QoS management for convergence paradigm * Data mining algorithms for automated decision making * Assistive technologies and healthcare services in convergence paradigm * Emerging IoT-cloud services and Applications * Context-aware services for convergence paradigm * Methods for IoT object abstraction, and modeling in convergence paradigm General Co-chairs: Mohammad Mehedi Hassan, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia Giancarlo Fortino, University of Calabria, Italy Yang Xiang, Deakin University, Australia Publicity Co-Chairs: Majed Alrubaian, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia Md.
