Call For Papers

International Conference on Big Data Analytics is an upcoming international conference in the area of big data analytics. It provides an international forum for researchers and industry practitioners to share their original research results, practical experiences and thoughts on big data from different perspectives including storage models, data access, computing paradigms, analytics, information sharing and privacy, redesigning mining algorithms, open issues, and future research trends. BDA-2015 is envisaged to offer fertile ground for collaborations between researchers, institutions and industries.
The 4th International Conference on Big Data Analytics (BDA 2015) announces call for submissions for regular research papers, tutorial proposals and student research symposium, to be held during December 15-18, 2015, Hyderabad, Telangana State, India (http://www.bda2015.nitw.ac.in/). Major topics of interest to the conference include, but are not limited to:
Analytics as a Service
Architectural Design for Big Data, Big Data Governance,
Conceptual/cognitive/programming Models for Big data analytics
Clustering of Big Data, Data Fusion and Multi Modal Analytics
Data Models for Big Data Analytics, Domain-specific Analytics
Index Structures for Big Data Analytics
Interaction Design for Exploratory Analytics
Machine Learning techniques for Big Data
Large-scale recommendation systems and graph analysis
Model Discovery from Big Data, NoSQL and non-standard Data Models
Physical Data Organization for Big Data, Predictive Modelling
Privacy Issues in Big Data Analytics, Query Languages and Paradigms
Rule Mining from Big Data, Scalability and Performance issues
Security, privacy and legal issues specific to big data
Semantics and Big Data, Streaming Data Analytics
Summarization and Materialized views, Topic Modelling
Unstructured and Semi-structured Data Mining, Visual Analytics

Call for Research Papers

BDA 2015 invites original, technically sound, high-quality research papers proposing novel solutions addressing the problems related to topics given above. We encourage both theory and experimental works. Use of public datasets and repeatability of experiments, well-written papers highlighting the contributions, novel approach for different computing platforms, are a few important parameters to be used for research quality assessment.
Submission Guidelines: Each paper should contain an abstract of approximately 300 words, and must be less than 16 pages including title page, references and appendix. For preparing the manuscript, please see instructions for authors by Springer, in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. The submissions will be accepted through EasyChair (link for submission). At least one author of an accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper in the conference. Only the presented papers will be included in the proceedings.

Important Dates

Abstract submission: 01 Jul, 2015, 23:59 PST
Full paper submissions (extended): 10 Jul, 2015, 23:59 PST
Research paper notifications : 21 Sept, 2015, 23:59 PST
CR copy submission: 01 Oct, 2015, 23:59 PST

Call for Tutorial Proposals

We invite proposals for half-day tutorials (3 hours) on established and emerging topics in the area of Big Data Analytics. Each proposal (maximum 4 pages) should clearly specify the subject matter, a detailed outline of the major topics covered, goals of the tutorial and the intended audience in the following format - i) area or topic of the tutorial, ii) title and abstract (600 words) of the tutorial, with keywords iii) duration and pre-requisites, iv) learning objectives and target audience, v) detail description and sequence of topics covered. Please append a brief bio-sketch of the presenter(s) and information about previous tutorials if any.
Preference will be given to tutorial speakers who have practical experience in their tutorial topic and can augment their talks with relevant demos and/or case studies. Further, willingness to submit a full-length manuscript will add merit to the
proposal. Manuscript submission should contain an abstract of approximately 300 words, and must be 14 - 20 pages. For preparing the manuscript, please see instructions for authors by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. The submissions will be accepted through EasyChair (link for submission). The submission will go through the process of review for consideration as part of the conference proceedings.

Important Dates
Proposal and manuscript Submission: 4 Aug, 2015 23:59 PST
Notification Date: 21 Sept, 2015 23:59 PST
CR copy submission: 01 Oct, 2015 23:59 PST

Call for Student Symposium
The main objective of the symposium is to offer an environment for postgraduate students and research scholars working in the area of big data analytics to present their work, and exchange their ideas and experiences with peers. We invite PhD students in the early stages of their research (one - two years after registration) and M.Tech/Masters students working on their dissertations to submit an extended abstract (up to 6 Pages) for review by experts. The paper should clearly describe the goals, motivation, challenges and approach for the ongoing research. Plan for preliminary experimental evaluation should be included. Participants with interdisciplinary work across the areas are particularly welcome. The papers submitted for Student Research Symposium should have the student as the first author. Inclusion of supervisor(s) as co-authors is optional. Authors of accepted submissions are expected to participate in person to the symposium for presenting their work and subsequent discussion, preferably with the advisor.
All submissions must follow the author instructions for regular research papers. If the work is nearly complete, then based on the merit of the work the committee may nominate the paper for consideration for the main conference.

Extended Abstract submission: 15 Jun, 2015, 23:59 PST
Acceptance notifications : 21 Jun , 2015 23:59 PST
Full paper submission
for recommended papers : 07 Jul 2015 23:59 PST
CR copy submission: 01 Oct, 2015 23:59 PST
