ETTX 2009 Call for Participation ================================ The First European TinyOS Technology Exchange http://sites.google.com/site/ettx2009 Cork, Ireland, February 10, 2009, collocated with EWSN 2009 *Sponsored by the Cooperating Objects Network of Excellence (CONET)* Aim and Scope ============= The TinyOS Technology Exchange (TTX), traditionally held in the USA, is a yearly venue where developers, users, and companies involved in low-power wireless sensing get together to talk about recent developments and future directions of the TinyOS platform and the related technologies. To foster a broader European TinyOS community, we are launching a companion event In Europe with the same format. *The First European TinyOS Technology Exchange (ETTX 2009)* will take place in Cork, Ireland, on February 10, 2009, collocated with EWSN 2009, the largest sensor networks conference in Europe. The TinyOS Alliance Steering Committee encourages anyone who is interested in, using, exploring or advancing TinyOS-based technologies to attend. Program Highlights ================== * TinyOS 2.x overview and tutorial by Philip Levis (Stanford) * Reports from the TinyOS Working Groups * Community Contributions Session * Keynote talk by David Culler (UCB/Arch Rock) * Open Floor Discussion on the future of TinyOS * Demo and Poster Session Call for Submissions ==================== The focus of the ETTX is ultimately on the TinyOS community, its innovations, and its work; so there is also going to be a lot of opportunity for active participation: Community Contributions Session ------------------------------- The session will continue the process started at the previous TTX events with three-slide, five- minute presentations from members of the community describing work they've done and which others can use. All you need to do is bring your slides and get up to the microphone. Contributions to any version of TinyOS are welcome. For longer slots, please send a one page abstract as a PDF e-mail attachment to "ettx2009 [AT] googlegroups.com" with the subject line reading "Contributions Submission" before the January 31, 2009, deadline. Accepted abstracts will be posted and maintained on the ETTX 2009 website. Demo and Poster Session ----------------------- If you've built a new application, a new platform, have new technology or new research ideas that you want to demonstrate to the TinyOS community, this is a great forum for doing so. Please submit a one page abstract of your demo or poster as a PDF e-mail attachment to: "ettx2009 [AT] googlegroups.com" with the subject line reading "Demo Submission" or "Poster Submission" before the January 31, 2009, deadline.
