SPECIAL ISSUE ON System Dynamics and Bid Data Analytics

INTRODUCTION:

In recent months the IJSDA has expanded its focus both in scope and depth. Widening the domain of system dynamics applications is a result of insights from System Dynamics modelling in explaining emerging societal and global challenges and leveraging the development in big data analytics technologies. The recent advances in system dynamics simulation technologies have led to an increase in the amount data for decision making. This in turn has intensified the search for better understanding and insights from simulation results. Big data Analytics is highly relevant in this context. Big data analytics has rapidly evolved into an interdisciplinary field devoted to the use of advanced analytical tools for descriptive/prescriptive and predictive modelling and managerial decision making. Thus the special issue of IJSDA focusing on system dynamics and big data analytics is timely and relevant. Such an issue will have value to both new researchers to system dynamics applications and other scholars interested in dig data and system dynamics interdisciplinary research. The issue will also be an important reference for policy makers interested in societal and global challenges.


OBJECTIVE OF THE SPECIAL ISSUE:.
The objective of this issue is to publish high quality innovative research and case studies as the latest advances of system dynamics and its application in solving societal challenges using the emerging big data analytics discipline. Thus special issue will also outline recent scientific advances in the understanding of societal and global challenges in search for transformative solutions for sustainable development.

RECOMMENDED TOPICS:
Contributions to a special issue of IJSDA comprises of reviews, case studies and new original research in the fields of System Dynamics and Big Data Analytics particularly those that offer illumination and insight on transformative sustainable development are sought. IMPORTANT DATES

Submission deadline: 28th February, 2015
Submission of revised papers: 31th March, 2015
Final decision notification: 30th April, 2015


SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special theme issue on System Dynamics and Big Data Analytics on or before 30th December, 2014. All submissions must be original having been submitted to IAWSD 2015 and may not be under review by another publication. INTERESTED AUTHORS SHOULD CONSULT THE JOURNAL’S GUIDELINES FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS at http://www.igi-global.com/Files/AuthorEditor/guidelinessubmission.pdf. All submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind, peer review basis. Papers must follow APA style for reference citations.
