WISE is a peer-reviewed International conferences series which has so far established a solid community which aims at high quality research work and it offers the ground for advancing and progressing efforts in Web information systems addressed topics and audiences. Previous WISE conferences were held in Hong Kong, China (2000), Kyoto, Japan (2001), Singapore (2002), Roma, Italy (2003), Brisbane, Australia (2004), New York, USA (2005), Wuhan, China (2006), Nancy, France (2007), Auckland, New Zealand (2008), Poznan, Poland (2009), Hong Kong, China (2010), Sydney, Australia (2011), Paphos, Cyprus (2012) and Nanjing, China (2013). The aim of this 15th edition of the conference series on Web Information Systems Engineering is to provide an international forum for researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their knowledge in the rapidly growing area of Web technologies, methodologies and applications.
Objectives WISE 2014 welcomes all submissions that fall in the domain of Web information systems engineering and topics of interest include, but are not restricted to: Web Information Retrieval Web Data Models Web search and information extraction Web Mining and Web Warehousing Web engineering, metrics and performance Deep/Hidden Web Web-based Business Processes and Web Services Web-based Enterprise Systems Web Security and Trust Management Web Tools and Languages Visualisation for the Web and Rich Web U Web-based Applications (e.g., e-Commerce, e-Government, e-earning, etc.) Social Web models, analysis and mining Social Networks Computing Social web and Applications Web big data techniques and mining Integration of Web and Internet-connected Objects (IoT) Semantic Web Web Agents and Web Intelligence Linked Open Data Web Data Integration and Mashups Mobile Web Web privacy management Cloud Computing Future Internet Architectures and Protocols Important Dates 7 April 2014: Workshop submission deadline 19 May 2014: Paper submission deadline 9 June 2014: Tutorial submission deadline 4 July 2014: Notification of acceptance 12-14 October 2014: Conference, Workshops & Related Events Submission Conditions Papers should be submitted in PDF format. The results described must be unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere. Submissions must conform to Springer's LNCS format and should not exceed 15 pages, including all text, figures, references and appendices. Submissions not conforming to the LNCS format, exceeding 15 pages, or being obviously out of the scope of the conference, will be rejected without review. Information about the Springer LNCS format can be found at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. Three to five keywords characterizing the paper should be indicated at the end of the abstract. The type of paper (technical/empirical evaluation/experience/exploratory paper) should be indicated in the submission. Submissions should be made electronically in PDF or DOC/DOCX (MS/Open Word) format via the electronic submission system of the WISE 2014 Conference Management system at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wise2014 Publication Accepted papers will be presented at WISE’14 and published in the conference proceedings, which is published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Authors elected best papers from the conference will be invited to submit an expanded version for publication in the WWW Journal, Springer. The papers in all the categories should describe original results that have not been accepted or submitted for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be evaluated by at least three members of the international program committee. |
