Objective

The International conference on Training & Tele-Training Technologies (iC4T) is organized by a group of academics, private and government thinkers with the goal of establishing a yearly event that presents technology, theories and research with the goal of advancing training and skill development, in particular distant or Tele-Training. The group chooses to focus on training rather than learning per se due to the immediate significance of its outcome on the development of economies of all sizes and the tangibility of its outcome. The urgent need for standardised knowledge and certified skills in developing economies; the continuous need for training in recessing economies; these are enormous needs which can’t be ignored. A Medecins Sans Frontiere team wanting to train villagers to efficiently vaccinate thousands of people; NASA Control Center needing to urgently train a cosmonaut on a new skill to operate a faulty robot in space; a multinational company needing to train a thousand workers to operate heavy machinery in a short period of time; an airport administration wanting its security staff remotely and effectively trained to spot suspicious behaviour. The complexity of these tasks may not be high, however, means to deliver them quickly, timely and effective are, and they are costly if ignored. Effective technology that can achieve such training goals is far from being optimal mainly because training provision in not equally distributed and means have great room improvement. Bringing all parties, private and government, multinational companies and academics under one roof, is the goal iC4T Conference. Parties are encouraged to participate by exhibiting their solutions, theories, applications, simulation software and hardware, sensor technology, original and positional research work.

The conference will have two main strands:

Strand 1: Display and workshop. This is where companies will present their solutions.
Strand 2: The Presentations. This is a scientific theme where new ideas and visions are presented to deal with issues of strategic values in terms of basic research and R&D.
